Each end of the hammock has a flexible metal frame that expands and provides the shape when you pull it out of the included carry bag. So, all you need to do is hike to somewhere you love, pull the hammock out and use the included straps to tie it to some trees, then you’re ready for bed or to spend the afternoon relaxing beneath the sky.
The hammock is fully enclosed with an overhead insect mesh. For some shelter from the sun, rain and wind, we suggest setting the hammock up beneath our lightweight waterproof tarp, which is sold separately.

Mount Difficult Lightweight Tarp

The tarp weighs just 780 grams with 6 pegs that are 15 grams each, and it’s only 22 x 20 x 4.5 cms when it’s packed up, making it compact and light enough to take hiking.
It’s perfect for use as a shelter to sleep under at night, for cooking and relaxing beneath during the day, or for throwing on the ground to sit on when taking a break from hiking. To give extra protection from the sun and rain when you’re using it as an 0verhead shelter, a PU/silver coating has been added to the tarp that provides UV protection while increasing its water resistance.
Note: Unlike our heavy-duty tarps, this one is just meant for creating a quick and easy shelter, but it may rip along the seams in strong winds.
