Cotton Canvas A Frame Tent with PVC Ground Layer Product Eco Rating
The majority of this A Frame Tent is made from a blended Cotton Canvas material. The blend is 80% cotton (a natural, renewable & biodegradable material) and 20% polyester.
With most/almost all non-organic plant-based materials, pesticides and fertilisers are used during farming cotton, then some other chemicals are used during the manufacturing process.
Cotton Canvas is a durable material that can handle strong winds and with the waterproofing treatment, it can withstand heavy rain, although its not recommended to not leave the tent under substantial rainfall for extended periods of time and if you do get caught out in a storm, like in all Canvas tents, expect a little bit of fog due to hydrostatic pressure (it’s completely normal).
The mesh used for the Insect-screen is a synthetic material and the ground layer is a heavy duty PVC, to handle very wet conditions.
Although this tent does have some synthetic materials used in its construction, 80% of the canvas used for the roof and walls is a natural and easily renewable material, and the walls + roof are the majority of the tent. This A Frame Tent is an eco-friendly and sustainable camping tent compared to most other tents on the market that are usually made from completely synthetic, non-renewable and mostly non-recyclable materials.
