This heavy duty ground cover is made in Spain using natural materials, including Cotton Canvas as the base with an 80% Wool and 20% Cashmere lining. These materials are tough, durable and completely biodegradable.

The colours are derived from natural materials, with a Linseed Oil & Wax mixture applied to the Cotton Canvas outer to increase its durability and make it water proof (water proof for heavy rain, although water would still penetrate the Canvas if submerged).

Cashmere and Wool are washable and renewable materials that are biodegradable. Wool and Cashmere are easy to work with, have little negative impacts on the environment and requires little effort, energy and other resources.

The only part of this item that is not biodegradable is the Bushcraft Spain Polyester label, the WAY&FARER label is leather.

Although fertilisers and other chemicals are known to be used when farming and producing Cotton (Canvas), it has a much smaller Carbon Footprint than comparable materials and it is a natural material.

Waxed Canvas is already an extremely durable material (relative to use), the Linseed Oil formula further enhances this.
