Spring Gully Stays

Spring Gully Stays is a nice and relatively small caravan park with cabins to the north of Lamington National Park. As caravans and large RVs/motor homes aren’t suitable to be taken into Lamington and there are no caravan parks in Lamington National Park, Spring Gully is the best option for those that have one.

The park is on both sides of Canungra Creek and only about a 30 minute drive from Lamington National Park, depending on which part of the park you’re heading to.

Spring Gully isn’t only close to Lamington which is quite a small national park that doesn’t require a lot of time for discovering it’s main sites, it’s also south of Sarabah National Park, less than an hour from Surfers Paradise and about 1.25 hours from Brisbane, making it an ideal location to set up base in southern Queensland to explore the Scenic Rim Shire and surrounding area.

If you’re heading into Queensland from New South Wales and want a cosy and comfortable place to leave the van or rent a cabin while you get out and discover dozens of waterfalls, hiking trails and lookouts across different parks, Spring Gully Stays might be the perfect location for doing just that!

There are a few different options to choose from.

Near the main entrance to Spring Gully Stays are a bunch of small cabins surrounded by trees, just near a couple of camp kitchens, other facilities and the amenities blocks. Here, you can also stay at a powered or non-powered camp site in a tent, RV or caravan.

On the other side of the river is the ‘bush campground’ which feels like you’re staying somewhere more remote in the wilderness, but keep in mind that there are no showers in this part of the park.

On the office/main entrance side of Spring Gully Stays, where the cabins are, there are facilities that include two camp kitchens, undercover dining areas, amenities blocks and showers.

If you’re to stay in the Bush Camping Area, you’ll need to have your own facilities and pretty much be self-sufficient, although there are also toilets over there.
