Riverview Caravan Park, Mount Buffalo

Riverview Caravan Park is right on the Buckland River in Porepunkah, about 10 minutes from Bright, just near the road that heads up into the Mount Buffalo National Park where you can visit all of the main sites, including the Chalet, Mt Buffalo Lookout, hike to the Monolith or the famous Horn Lookout, which is the highest point in the national park. You can hike to most of these places on the same trail, by taking the Mount Buffalo Circuit Walk.

In the warmer months, take a swim in the river or head over to the onsite swimming pool, just next to the tennis court and playground.

There are big trees, lots of grass areas and impressive established gardens throughout the caravan park, making the entire place quite beautiful and with plenty of spots to find shade and escape the sun.

Right along the river are powered sites with permanent caravans attached to annexes in the row behind. This is a great spot to set up the caravan with river views. A couple of barbecue areas can be found along the river, which are perfect for cooking with view and making the most of the place.

Behind the campsites with the river view is long, dense garden with more campsites above it, near other permanently set-up caravans, cabins and the amenities blocks. This area is with a close distance to an undercover camp kitchen, beside another barbecue area, and still only a short walk from the crystal clear river.

There’s a large grass area with non-powered campsites to the side of the caravan park, just back from the river.

There are two amenities blocks that are in a very good condition and kept clean, one of them includes a coin laundry at a reasonable price compared to most other caravan parks.

Multiple barbecue areas are placed throughout the caravan park with a cosy enclosed camp kitchen in one of the powered campsite sections.

Near the caravan park entrance is a pool, just over from a playground, trampolines and tennis court that has a basketball ring.
