This Activated Charcoal Powder is made by burning Coconut Shells with a limited Oxygen supply.
Coconut Shells are an abundant, renewable material. Little effort, resources and energy is required to source and process this Activated Coconut Husk Charcoal Powder which is packaged in a reusable and 100%v recyclable tin.
This toothpaste alternative is plastic-free and chemical-free. It doesn’t have any toxic chemicals that are harmful to the environment and it’s biodegradable if spilt or once spat out after cleaning your teeth.
Two parts of this product are somewhat harsh on the environment. Heating/burning the Coconuts to create the charcoal does require energy and fuel consumptions, although it’s done at relatively low temperatures, reducing the impact low. Secondly, mining and manufacturing the tin, although the durability and ability to be both reused or recycled makes the tin considered to be environmentally friendly.
Ingredients:
Activated Coconut Shell Charcoal (supplement grade) and Calcium Bentonite Clay (made with Living Clay).
Directions:
1. Carefully open the tin of Activated Charcoal Powder
2. Tap the bristles of your tooth brush into the powder, just take a little bit as not much is required
3. Gently brush your teeth as usual
4. Spit it out, rinse your mouth and tooth brush
