Rustic Caravan Park & Campground in the heart of Daylesford
Daylesford Holiday Park is in a great location, just to the south of town, close to the iconic Daylesford Lake & Gardens.
The holiday park has an old charm feeling to it with large trees (including huge Sequoia’s), gardens and grass areas spread throughout the caravan park, campground and cabins.
Once you’re entered the park and set up for the night, relax in one of the many picnic and seating areas, including a variety of outdoor spaces and multiple indoor lounges, some of which have open fire places allowing you to get warm and cosy in what is usually a cooler-climate area.
Suited for all types of travellers, bring along a caravan (of any size) or RV and choose between powered or unpowered sites, some beneath shade, others easier to access than some.
If camping in a tent is what you’re after, then set yours up on a large grass area or stay in a glamping tent, otherwise there are cabins and caravans available if nothing else suits.
Caravan Park & Campground Facilities
Central to the caravan park is undercover camp kitchen that has several hot plates with other cooking equipment and appliances available. While you’re at it, turn on the telly and watch the news.
Other than the main camp kitchen, there’s a small enclosed gazebo over at the non-powered camping area and a larger indoor lounge with open fire places at either end to enjoy when it’s cold, otherwise head outside when the sun is shining and relax in the seating area.
There are two large amenity blocks that house showers and toilets, both of which are kept clean and well maintained. Laundry facilities are also available onsite.
There’s even a playground with four trampolines to keep the kids busy, just near the main camp kitchen and undercover picnic area.
Getting to Daylesford Holiday Park from town
The Daylesford Holiday Park is located at Victoria Park, where the football oval is.
From the centre of town, head south towards Daylesford Lake and continue driving past the lake & gardens, over the bridge and up the hill. As you come up the hill around a bend in the road, the entrance to Victoria Park is on the right, on the corner of an intersection. Drive through the open gates and the holiday park entrance and office is on the right.
It’s only a couple of kilometres to get right into the centre of town from the holiday park.
Walk to Daylesford Lake and Gardens in less than 10 minutes, by exiting out the back corner of the holiday park and following the backstreets down hill.
