Caravan Park in Byron Bay that's central to the town
Glen Villa Resort is a large, neat & tidy caravan park in Byron Bay that has campsite and cabins on the western side of the main part of town.
About 500 metres back from the closest beach, which isn’t far from Main Beach and only a few minutes walk from the centre of Byron Bay, it’s a good, quiet and clean place to set up base for when you’re on your holiday. Glen Villa Resort is the more affordable option of the Byron Bay caravan parks, mainly because it’s not right on the beach.
Glen Villa is mainly made up of a whole heap of cabins, ranging in size and facilities, with a large camping ground over the back.
The camping area has powered and non-powered campsites and they vary a lot in size. As the place attracts a lot of small vans occupied by international tourists traveling the country, a lot of the sites are on the smaller size as they’re big enough for a little van or tent & car, if you’ve brought along a large RV or caravan, just let the reception staff know and they’ll place you on a larger site (usually) for the same price.
Lush, thick green grass covers the entire camping area with plenty of trees, it’s a nice place to stay.
In the busy season, an overflow section is opened up, it’s not quite as nice as the main camping area but still not bad. This is just beside the main camping area.
Only a short walk from the camping area, in the cabins area, is an amenities block that’s kept clean, just beside the laundry facilities.
A couple of barbecue areas, camp kitchen (with communal fridge/freezers) and plenty of seating can also be found in this central area. It’s all just besude a nice garden and grass area, a good area to relax and socialise with other travelers.
Over near the caravan park entrance is a small-ish pool, but nothing beats a swim at the beach which only a 10-15 minute walk.
